About Brad, an American hero, a loving father and husband

While responding to a call on the evening of Thursday, September 13, 2012, Officer Fox was tragically killed in the line of duty. It was the eve of his 35th birthday. The five year veteran Plymouth Township Police Officer had only recently graduated from the Philadelphia Police Canine Academy with his partner, Nick, a Belgian Malinois. K-9 Officer Nick was also injured in the incident but managed to survive; he was awarded several citations for Service, Bravery and Valor.

Brad Fox was the beloved husband of Lynsay, the loving father of Kadence, as well as a child due in March 2013 who he never had the chance to meet. A gifted hockey player, Brad played for The Glaciers, Junior Flyers and William Tennent High School while growing up. When not serving and protecting his community, Brad still managed to find time on the ice playing for the SLUGS and, most recently, The Blueliners.

Brad was a decorated staff sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps for 10 years, completing two tours, 2003 in Iraq and 2005 to 2006 in Fallujah. He was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Navy Presidential Unit Citation, Selected Marine Corp Reserve (X3) Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Navy Sea Service Deployment Ribbon and The Armed Forces Reserve Medal.
